Pádraig Floyd
Editor in chief, UK pensions & investment group

Pádraig Floyd is an award-winning financial journalist specialising in pensions and investment issues across both institutional and retail sectors.

He joined the Financial Times Business in 2000 from Thomson Legal & Regulatory Group, becoming editor of Pensions Management in 2005, and launching High Net Worth as a standalone publication in 2006.

Editor of both Pensions Management and High Net Worth, Pádraig also contributes to other FT and pensions industry titles, and can regularly be found chairing pensions and investment events.
Owen Walker
Assistant editor

Owen Walker is assistant editor at Pensions Management and High Net Worth magazines. He also contributes to other publications within the FT Business UK pensions and investments group, including Pensions Week and pensionsnews.com.

Owen’s main areas of interest are regulation and pension reform, the bulk annuity buyout market, personal pensions and alternative investments.

He is also reserve trustee on the Pearson Group Pension Scheme and sits on the scheme’s money purchase 2003 section sub-committee.

Outside pensions, he regularly writes for a range of publications, including FTfm and the New Statesman.

Relationships with discretionary fund managers (DFMs) will become more important with IFAs as we move towards RDR.

  • Absolutely. Can't do it myself, so why not get a specialist to manage my investment process?
